Chief product tester
Princess.
A mini dachshund from Kansas City. Stubborn, blanket-obsessed, and of the firm opinion that every couch in the house is hers.
Doxie Supply Co. started with one annoyance. Pet stores are built for every dog, so the long, low ones get what's left on the shelf: beds with sides too high to climb, carriers shaped for a beagle, stairs with a pitch that a dachshund takes as a dare.
So we started picking gear for dogs shaped like Princess. Stairs instead of jumping. Furniture low enough to step into. Travel gear sized for a small body with a long back. A short list, every item one we would put in front of our own dog.
Princess tests everything at home. When she has a verdict on something, it goes on that product's page in her own words, more or less. Where she hasn't weighed in yet, we say nothing rather than make it up.
Photograph of the tester to follow. Until then, the house dog.

How we choose
- 1It has to solve a problem that a long, low body actually has. Not every dog needs stairs; a dachshund does.
- 2It ships from a US warehouse, so delivery is days, not weeks, and returns are simple.
- 3We would buy it for Princess at the price we charge for it.
